About “Always a Silver Lining”

Our first blog post here was written by “Nancy with the Laughing Face,” a Most Inspiringly Positive wife, caregiver and Dix Hills resident, who regularly attends the Memory Care Group. We hope that her readers will jump in, ask questions and comment here on the blog. We want this to be a place where people affected by relatives’ and friends’ memory loss can help each other to contradict the isolation and frustrations they face.

Meanwhile, anyone who is interested in strengthening their mental muscles or who  is affected by memory loss is welcome to take part in the group, Mondays from 2 to 4.

The Memory Care Group, founded by Ginny Pisciotta in our Reference Department, is just one part of Half Hollow Hills Community Library’s Outreach Services. For more information on the library’s other free Outreach Services, including its English Conversation group, homebound delivery services, digital talking books and audio downloads for the visually impaired, click here.
